At the beginning of each season (in March and September), The Dresser stages a Private View day when the shop is stocked with it's new season's collection.

*In 2000, Sally Ormsby, owner of The Dresser, hosted a CELEBRITY CLOTHES FUNDRAISING SALE at her shop, raising awareness and funds for CROSSROADS - a treatment centre founded by Eric Clapton for the treatment of alcohol and drug addiction.

The shop was inundated with designer outfits donated by an array of international celebrities including: Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, Lulu, Trudie Styler, Jonathan Ross, Mick  Hucknall, Joan Collins, The Duchess of York,Kate Winslet, Twiggy and others.The event was a great success and was a landmark in the history of The Dresser.

To this day The Dresser continues to fundraise for Crossroads, with the proceeds from sales of Eric Clapton's donated clothes going to the foundation.
